Q. Does Vintage Stock provide training?
A. Yes. Vintage Stock provides training for you, your managers and key employees before, during and after the opening of your first Vintage Stock retail facility. This training will take place at one of our affiliate-owned locations in either Tulsa, Oklahoma or Joplin, Missouri.

This extensive training includes all aspects of store operations, marketing, advertising, promotion, point of sale, pricing guidelines, hiring and human resources.

Initial training will include one week at a corporate training facility, followed by two weeks on-site at the franchisee’s store prior to and during the soft opening.

Ongoing support will include both online and in-person training, with corporate support staff making field visits to stores approximately every 45 to 60 days.

Q. How much are the Franchise Fees and royalties?
A. The initial franchise fee is $30,000, with a sliding scale downward. The fee is $25,000 for the second and the third locations, with a $20,000 fee for the fourth, fifth and sixth. The fee is reduced to $15,000 for additional locations.

Franchisees pay half of the total franchise fees upfront as a development fee. The balance of the individual franchise fee is paid upon signing of the site-specific franchise agreement.

Franchise royalties are 5 percent of gross sales.

Q. Does Vintage Stock find me a location?
A. Vintage Stock has established a relationship with the Staubach Company and are currently reviewing sties determined by experience-based criteria. As such, Staubach will provide all appropriate data including visibility, population and demographics. All sites are subject to Vintage Stock Franchise Systems, Inc. approval.

Q: Should franchisees use the Vintage Stock proprietary software?
A: All franchisees must use the Vintage Stock Point of Sale system. We have already incurred the tremendous expense of creating an effective inventory management system that runs on our Point of Sale software.


Q. What kind of advertising programs is a franchisee responsible for?
A. All Vintage Stock franchisees contribute to Corporate, Regional and Local Advertising Funds for advertising and sales promotion programs. The requirements are 1% contributed to a corporate fund and up to 3% a month must be spent on local advertising.

 

 

 




Q. What assistance will the Franchisor provide in retail store design and setup? Where do we get our supplies?

A. The Franchisor will provide each franchisee with a complete construction, equipment, design and decor package upon signing each Individual Unit Franchise Agreement. The Franchisor will also provide a list of approved vendors that offer products as well as recommend contractors. A prototype floor plan will also be provided in this package.

Q. Are standard operating procedures in place and how do we maintain quality control?
A. Vintage Stock has developed systems and operating procedures, placing them at the forefront of the retail industry. Franchisees will benefit from the ongoing research, training, operations manuals and regular visits by trained field staff. These benefits will enable franchisees to maintain the standards of uniformity in appearance, service and value for which the Vintage Stock system is known.

Q. What kind of recurring payments are made by us to the Franchisor?
A. The two recurring payments are made on a bi-weekly basis. The first is a continuing franchise fee and the second is an advertising and promotion fee.

All advertising and promotion payments will be placed into a separate advertising account and are used solely for advertising, promotion and related activities.

Q. What is the term of each franchise agreement? Can we transfer or sell our franchise?
A. The current term is 10 years with consecutive additional option terms of five years each. A Franchise Agreement may be transferred or sold with Vintage Stock’s prior consent. The buyer must meet their current qualification criteria and execute a Franchise Agreement with us.

Q. How much money can a franchisee make?
A. As a franchise company, we are regulated as to how earnings claims can be communicated. Vintage Stock has provided this information in written form in Item 19 of the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC). Vintage Stock is one of the few franchise companies that provides this information to its prospective franchisees.
